How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account yourself, without opening a support ticket:

1. Log into your account and go to Settings > Close account.
2. Tap Delete account.
3. Read what changes and tap Continue anyway.
4. The site checks if the account can be deleted (see below).
5. If you want, tell us why. Enter your password, check I understand that deletion is permanent. and tap Delete my account.

What happens

• The account is deactivated immediately, and your resume is removed from company searches.
• Permanent deletion happens in 48 hours. You will receive the email We have received your request to delete your account, with the date.
• After that, your resume and account data are removed from all of Empregare, including company career sites, and cannot be recovered.
• Deletion applies to all companies, not just the site you are on.

Changed your mind

Before 48 hours, log into your account and tap Activate account. Deletion is canceled.

When deletion is delayed

Some companies, like public agencies and audited companies, need to keep selection process data for a period. If you applied to a job with them and the period hasn’t ended, you will see You cannot delete your account yet, listing the companies and the date from which you can delete, according to the Terms of Use (item 3.3) and Privacy Policy (item 9). Until then, you can tap Just deactivate resume.

Just deactivate

If you just want to pause for a while, tap Deactivate resume. Your resume is removed from searches and you stop receiving job emails. Companies where you applied can still see your application, without your contact info. To return, log in and tap Activate account.

Can’t access your account

Recover access at Forgot my password and then delete the account. If you can’t, open a support ticket under Data Privacy, with your CPF and birth date.

Create a new account

After permanent deletion, you can create a new account. Old resume and history will not return.
